Liberal Hypocracy is Simply Astounding

Facebook Page Post I Saw Today

THIS is what the new “adult conversing” Republicans are putting their time and focus on?! More like a Jr. High conversation. What a bunch of petulant self-involved infants.

Of course, he took a grand total of nine minutes out of his schedule, and prefaced his picks with a plea that Americans concerned about the tragedy in Japan click on usaid.com.
Why is this even a story?

As is typical, Kurt, I think you missed the entire point of this post.

Now, I could care less whether Mr. Obama is “putting his time and focus on” pardoning turkeys at Thanksgiving, golfing fifty or sixty times per year, listening to Gloria Estefan and Stevie Wonder perform at the White House or yammering on about his March Madness picks on a television network during his term in office.

The “Facebook Liberal” quoted, though, expressed disdain and disgust for Republicans as “petulant self-involved infants” for putting their time and focus on cutting over $400 million in expenditures from the federal budget as they promised voters during their election campaigning, and which, incidentally, is actually part of their Constitutionally mandated responsibilities as members of the House of Representatives.

Why is this even a story? Because instead of having a rational policy discussion about whether the government should provide non-profit corporation welfare to NPR and CPB– and from what I see in Toys R Us, Big Bird doesn’t really need taxpayer support – this particular liberal once again chose the well trodden path of the argumentum ad hominem.

If the liberal standard is going to be that Republican Congressmen actually doing their job is a “Jr. High” waste of time and focus, then that same standard should apply to a Democratic President making his bracket picks on ESPN, which I don’t think is actually called out as part of his job description in the U.S. Constitution.

By the way, as Mr. Obama is the “CEO” of a $3.5 trillion dollar enterprise, during the “grand total of nine minutes out of his schedule” he spent on ESPN, approximately $60,000,000.00 flew out of the U.S. Treasury.
